SuperWheel - No battery needed

I'd love to give this a test ride to see how much assist it actually gives the rider, and I wonder much the whole back tire/wheel combo weighs (it looks heavy).
I suspect, if they're successful, they eventually come out with a model with a disc brake option and through axle.

Or combine with a light weight middrive for more boost w/o more battery. Quite Rube Goldberg looking.

Looks like a perpetual motion machine.

I note that they give zero data about any real world performance measured. It wouldn't be hard to mount this on a mid-drive electric, apply 200w for 5 minutes and report on any speed or distance differences.

"report on any springs flying around the test bench ..."

Yep If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

It's Not Post Crisis of Infinite Earths Superman Super, but the Original Leap over tall buildings can't fly Superman. It's not Bad, a little better than without the giant heavy wheel. It's definitively still biking which I am happy about. I have made electric bikes since 2007, I had a P90 48v 500w then. I moved on to 60cc, then Moved Back to a Magic Pie 3. Then moved back to just a bicycle because I don't feel good knowing someone is slaving away in a power plant and I am sitting on my fat ass pushing a throttle and burning electricity. The Superwheel is a little bit beneficial and almost noticeable. I would personally tell you that it wouldn't be worth putting on an electric bike. It's wouldn't be worth the extra weight.

It might feel better when pedaling, but laws of physics says you can't turn a crank on a black box and get more energy out the shaft than what you put in, Anyway, that's what this ole greybeard sez, if he had a beard and a wizards cap.

But if you jump on a pogo stick or trampoline you’ll get higher than regular jumping.

Canadian electricity is generated by people slaving away in hamster wheels? But I agree, this does remind me of a perpetual motion machine.
