My Trek shop advised me about 6 months ago of the SC 7 which is due out soon so seems they had pretty good info well ahead of time. If no answers to your request soon I'll given them a call or shoot them an email and ask.

I sent a message to my local Trek dealer and this was their response. "From what we currently know it is not slated for the US - I believe it might be due to model spec’ing and US restrictions. We will continue to look into it and let you know if things change. Thanks for the interest and question!". I guess wait and see...

I still wonder why someone would pick a NuVinci. It makes the bike a bit sluggish. Especially, for a 28mph bike. The chainline and ease of shifting is there but it also has less gear range than a conventional derailleur setup.
