814Wh battery pricing:
1'790.-- CHF incl. 8% VAT
1'490.-- EURO incl. 19% VAT
1'090.--- USD incl. 8.875% taxes

Now, the comparable price in CHF:

You clearly see a valuable difference, if I only cross the German border (From my location easy to be done with my Stromer).
Now the same with the ST2:

Update on the new 983Whr battery availability:

I did speak to the product team of Stromer at the Interbike. Here is the update.
The 983 Whr batteries use really expensive cells and are available only for the ST2-s bike. The bike itself becomes available sometime in Mar/Apr 2016.
So, the spare 983Whr batteries won't be available for few months after that. (Read June/July 2016)

It's much easier to obtain a 814 Whr battery though. If anyone is interested in group buy for 814Whr batteries, I am happy to organize it.
