Our two Como's probly will see infrequent winter use until heavy snow season and then may sit for a few months or at least 6- 8 weeks at a time.

Any actual factual guidance whether to leave FULLY or PARTIALLY charged while they hibernate ?

thanx

2020-2021 Como Battery Maintenance

There are a few small things that help prolong the life of the battery:

  • Long term storage:
    • Store at 50-75% state of charge (SoC)
    • Keep in moderate temperatures (above freezing and below hot summertime temps)
    • Check SoC and briefly charge every three months (or according to manual)

Although I live in California and it is not particularly cold, I don't much care for riding at 50 degrees (Fahrenheit).... So my bike has been "in storage" for a little while. I have checked on the battery a couple of times and am very impressed that it doesn't loose much charge at all for a few weeks at a time. My electric car looses a lot more charge (as a percentage) than the Specialized.
