Spoke Question

On my Pace 500 LE I have 13 gauge spokes on front and 12 gauge on rear wheel. Does the 500 step thru come the same way or are they both 13? Also the new level step thru, how do they come? According to the descriptions they say 13 but so did mine. Looking to order a bike for my wife and I think the 12 is better choice for drive wheel. Thanks
