Specialized App not recording ride

Hi All

Last 2 days the App is refusing to track my ride (Vado SL2 6.0) I've been using it for over 2 years now without problems.
I've re-booted iPhone, bike & deleted bike & then re-paired with App. No change. When I hit "record" I get a spinning wheel & that's it. App is showing battery charge & the usual metrics from the bike so it seems there's nothing wrong with the BT connection.
Komoot working fine fortunately.
Any ideas ???

You probably tried this already - have you deleted the app and got a new version from App Store?

A very similar thing happened to my previously flawless Specialized app (latest version). Turned out, the GPS service on my Android phone somehow got turned off at the photo stop where all GPS-related recording had abruptly ended. Data that the app gets directly from my Vado SL 1 via Bluetooth continued to record.

This on a new phone with an overly sensitive touchscreen that I apparently put in my jersey pocket without locking the screen. I used nothing but the camera at the stop. No idea how the pocket screen inputs got that deep into my phone settings, but I do know that I didn't turn off the GPS intentionally.

Turned GPS back on, and everything went back to normal. All the gory details here.

For what it's worth, I have reinstalled the app on a Galaxy S25 Ultra (Tero) and Galaxy S22 (wife's Como) a couple of times and never lost any data, including ride history, etc. We both have ride.specialized.com accounts so probably that is related.
