SoCal Hills Brought Me In

Life long recreational/fitness rider here who was becoming more and more reluctant to head out on a ride due to age and the big hills I had to climb both coming and going. Not wanting to throw in the towel, I spent hours reading articles posted in this forum thinking an e-bike could be the answer. Armed with the information learned from some great posts, I pulled the trigger yesterday on a Trek Domane hp. I look forward to flattening the hills and extending my riding years. Thanks EBR members.

Welcome to EBR...That's considered a super bike and there is an active Trek sub forum here.

So...what color did you get? I ask as it's been 'well established' in several threads that red is the fasterest color! 😎

esp the Trek Radioactive Red!

Got my first speed “award” driving a bright red suburban. I was always hyper vigilant, used a Valentine radar detector, tried to pace a rabbit out front etc. I just failed to look up and see the airplane. 👮🏻‍♂️. Apparently he really couldn’t miss it cruising along at 90 or so. Though the Mustang may have earned an even bigger award, this one would have bought quite a few cycle accessories. Sometimes it’s just better not to be noticed.

Mine was in my 'stang heading over the Santa Cruz mountains on my way to Carmel. And the dang thing wasn't even red! 🤣
