Slow Throttle

I have a 2018(?) colt that i got used. The throttle didn't work so i put a new one on. Now it will only go 10mph under throttle. Wrong throttle? or is there programming that can make it faster?

I messed with the programming and thought I had it fixed. It worked on the stand but under load it was gutless. Pulled the cover that the battery sits in and exposed the controller. All the rubber insulative boots on the power wires (in and out, 5 total) were split and melted allowing them to short.

I have a new controller on the way.

Given this is a new throttle its possible the Throttle Start and End voltages don't match what the Controller is expecting to receive. Might need adjusting in programming if that's possible, or maybe need to buy another throttle that matches.

But melted bits don't sound good either so maybe something else is amiss.
