Size Question

I have decided to get a Rip Current S, but I am not sure what size to get. I am 57, 5'10" with about a 31 inch inseam from floor to body. The standover height for the L frame is 30.3 and the medium is 29, so either one will work. While I am leaning towards the M frame, the problem is that historically I have always preferred an oversize bike frame (had a huge Schwinn Varsity when I was 14 because my parents thought I would grow into it, but grew to love bigger bikes), but now with age, the speed of this bike and the weight of the bike, I am concerned the bigger bike might not be right. So my question, is a there anyone with similar build to me that has bought either size bike and their thoughts on size.

I have almost the same measurements as you. Age 61 height 5'9" inseam 31". I am ordering a CCX in medium. The bike is heavy enough and by ordering a medium I save a little weight. I believe this to be true, you can always make a smaller frame larger by raising the seat post and using a longer handle bar stem. You can not make a larger frame smaller.

Good luck!

I had the CCS, which has the same size frames. I have a 32 inseam and ordered the L. It worked okay but I'd have rather had more room, and would order the M if I bought another. YMMV.
