Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

This morning I got up, checked the weather and although the temp was -1C it was beautiful out. The plan was to ride down to and over the recently and permanently closed Patullo bridge.
Waited until noon for things to warm up a tad at 5C, bundled up and headed out. This time the heated gloves and vest were on and for good reason.

Headed down to River Road, but this time went North East towards said bridge...

At the centre of this shot you can see the orange arch of my target...

Riding through the flats. The area is a bit dodgy and has numerous auto wreckers...

This being the final weekend opportunity for people to walk/ride the bridge brought out thousands of the like minded...

Old and new side by side. The new bridge is on the up river/east...

Hmmm... Seems ominous...

The Patullo bridge was built in 1937, and as you can see it's about time for a replacement...

A look at the new bridge mid span...

Looking down reveals the old train/rail bridge...

To the West is the "Skytrain" bridge built around 1986...

A look at the old bridge from underneath...

A dive bar on the way home...

Riding up this hill is a beeotch, even with an ebike...

Round trip a paltry 26.5kms but felt great after such a hiatus lately.

You havent seen our dive bars

Just a few shots from today's 25 mi coast ride to Oceanside and back.

Beach art in the making from a stop on the Oceanside pier. Impressive precision.

No idea what it meant at the time but looked up the phrase just now. And lo and behold, there was a real "planetary parade" tonight — an uncommon alignment of Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune visible near sunset. Too bad I missed it.

ADDENDUM: Also visible tonight, February 28, 2026, from west to north, about an hour after local sunset. Look for very bright Venus. Plan to catch it then with binocs. Guess his PSAS (public sevice announcement in the sand) had the desired effect.

More artistic creations in the same spot last year. The pier's a popular place year round. Lots of eyeballs guaranteed on anything in this space.

Interesting that these artists invest hours in works that the next high tide will wash away without a trace a few hours later. Have yet to see one signed, so ccredit can't be the motivation.

View north from Carlsbad's northernmost beach. Between our recent rains and warm spells, the sea lavender's been going nuts.

Just a humble beach shack.

Sunshine (mostly) and 10C? I'm out!
Been many weeks since visiting the bay of mud, so headed out to the Greenway...

Gotta cross the tracks here, and you better look both ways as I learned in the past...

Who needs the bay? Plenty of mud right here...

Was expecting way more water on the Greenway, but no...

Tide is in!

Duck Duck Go!

Heading home...

By hopping those tracks so many times I got "lazy".
A very fast moving passenger train. Extremely silent. Good thing my peripheral vision is good.
I'm surprised an "officially known" trail like that would permit a railroad grade crossing without the customary warning signs. The railroads here in the east don't permit such ROW crossings, it's considered trespassing and often prosecuted as such.

There are certainly numerous foot/bike path crossings of this (and other) tracks. This particular location is unmarked, whereas most others are.
