I got to ride a Bulls ebike with Di2 and e8000 motor for 2 weeks (loaner bike) and about 250 miles while I had a brose bike being serviced.
There was so much to love about the E8000 (display, display control thru left shifter thingy, low q factor). Out of all the mid-drives I tried up to that point (bosch, yamaha, brose) I liked its 'engineering' the best.
But the noise was also the highest. I got comments from hikers and other cyclists almost every ride about being on an ebike. Never got such a thing on my Brose bikes.
I put ALOT of value on noise which is why I favor Brose (along with the most telepathic pedal feel....IMHO).
I was always reminded I was on an ebike with the e8000 which just ruined the mood(for me). On the plus side, I always knew EXACTLY how much it was working.
I did order a bike with an e8000 motor at one point (focus jam 2) due to a great black friday price and a nice low weight platform but cancelled it.
