Hey-O!
My latest display, a Shimano SC7000, doesn't have a dedicated headlight button.
Supposedly Shimano has a way to turn on the headlight by long-pressing the "assist up" aka the Y button, according to various sources.
When I plug in my laptop and run e-Tube software, there is no dropdown selection for "Assist Up / Light." Only "Assist Up."
There are separate selection options for the X button to be "Display" or "Display / Light" but this also doesn't work to turn on the headlight. Oddly, when I select just "Display" this button stops functioning altogether, and I can't get into the menu.
Any thoughts? Could this be a button compatibility problem? The SW-E6000 buttons are pretty old Gen 1 hardware, but I can't imagine that that's the problem.
For now, I can turn the lights on by entering the menu, toggling down a few lines to Lights, selecting, toggling On or Off, then exiting the menu. The menu isn't accessible while riding the bike, only while stopped, not that that's a bad thing.
