I just upgraded the inexpensive Allen trailer that I pulled my toddler in to an Encore X. The Allen trailer is a good value and built pretty well but it's not comfortable for my child at speeds over ~12 MPH or whenever we go anywhere that doesn't have a perfectly even surface. I had no idea how much she bounced around in it until I reviewed the footage from a rear facing camera. I put the Burley together in ten minutes and went for a long walk on a gravel trail close to home. The Burley just feels really well built and is still quite lightweight. It felt pretty effortless to push her and her 8 month old brother together, even on the uphills. The suspension is going to be really nice to have when it's mounted to the bike. Now she'll be a lot more comfortable and I can ride a little more spirited, too.
