Rockshox Monarch RL... Doesn't fully extend?

Your DMN Shock is less than half the price of the fancy ass Debonair,..

Screenshot_20250704_155359_AliExpress.jpg

I'll bet it's cheaper because it's simpler without all the fancy crap, needing a 500 PSI Compressor ??

You can probably inflate/deflate the lower chamber easily and separately ??

This is from the DNM website about what I think is your new shock,.. ??

So if you and your equipment happen to weigh more than 150 pounds, how do you add 5-30 PSI to just to the lower chamber??

How do you Pump It Up !!???

Screenshot_20250704_162318_Chrome.jpg
The AOY has a separate Negative chamber.
I couldn't do that one because I couldn't access the valve in my frame.

I got this one.

But when I get around to doing the service on the original RockShox I'll probably put it back into service

AEIOU and sometimes Why??
Just cuz. 😁
Another dollar spent is just another Buck Loss. 😁

You junky!
Make sure they send the correct bushing spacer. I believe they offer a few between 24mm - 50mm
Mine is 30mm but the closest was 32mm so I'll have some fitting to do

I looks like I don't get any bushings ?

For $30 more I can get one with bushings but they are 24 mm and my spacing appears to be 22 mm.

I'll just press the ones outta my Monarch and use them.

The Monarch apparently has "standard eyelets",..

I don't think the mounting hardware is the same or interchangeable with Rockshox. The bolt I believe will work, but that's it. Different inner/outer diameter on the rest.
Email the seller and get the closest size... Probably the 24mm.

Rockshox OD of bushing sleeve is 12.7mm
DNM OD of bushing sleeve is 12mm
Both use 8mm bolt
Then match overall legnth... For you... 22 mm

Probably find it cheaper.. But again ask the shock seller as he may have them as a separate item as well

or

Awesome !!
Thanks for that Gionni

The shock has already shipped, and the seller didn't list any bushings, so I need to make a separate purchase anyway.

What I liked about my 22.2 mm bushings is that my can slipped right overtop of the bushing, so I didn't have to press the bushing out.

Even if my Monarch bushings fit the DNM eyelets, it's kinda stupid to swap them over.
I'll just spend another ten bucks for bushings.

So I guess there's a few standard sizes? I'm not what size bolt I've got?

I'm kinda thinking that the eyelets themselves on all shocks and makes are the same standard size?, and they just install whatever bushings are needed to fit whatever suspension it's being installed on ?

I'll remove my shock (at least the bottom mount) and take some measurements.
I can reinstall the O-ring while I'm at it.
The zip tie is kinda trashy. 😄

I'll order them today so I don't have to wait for them to arrive.

I've got a 10 X 54 mm bushing on the top, but I can't find a 54 mm long bushing with a 10 mm inner diameter ??

I've got bearings instead of bushings on the top,..

20250705_112920.jpg

I'll keep looking, but all the 10 mm bushings I can find are short ?,..

I might have to reuse that bushing and bolt?

If I'm looking at it correctly it looks like you have a 10mm bolt
Then there's the sleeve that has the plastic spacers over it
Like this

Looks like there's more than 10 ways to skin this cat.

This is my DNM

12mm sleeve with 8mm bolt

So you need to know the OD of the sleeve under the plastic spacers... Should match the ID of the bearing in your frame. Check that it is the same top/bottom mounts

Yeah, that one is in my cart,..

It's the bushing at the top that I can't seem to find.
There are 54 mm bushings available, but I can't find any with a 10 mm internal diameter.

Screenshot_20250705_124624_AliExpress.jpg

I know better than to try and drill it out, or to put shims on the frame mounts to use a 8 mm bolt.

Maybe I'll just weld it in place. 😁

If 10mm ID isn't available... Then maybe the answer is new 8mm bolts.
If you do find a 10mm one but it's too long, you can cut it down.. I've seen that done frequently.
Keep in mind 12mm od on the sleeve is what fits the DNM eye.

Yeah but my frame mounts are drilled to 10 mm.
I'd need a fancy brass shim or collar or something?

I was just looking into metal "tubing".

I just noticed that.
12mm vs 12.7mm,..

Screenshot_20250705_131318_Gallery.jpg

That's less than a mm, but that's HUGE, when it comes to bearing/bushing tolerances

I mentioned that in #107 as my Rockshox is 12.7mm

Yeah, I kinda got into the sauce, and Vado wipes out all recollections as they happen. 😁

I don't even need the shock.
My Monarch is fine.

At least I've got some time to figure this out and buy the right stuff when I sober up.

If I could find a 54mm X 10mm "tube/spacer" I could get this and just use the spacers ,..??

I got creative and went old-school ,..

$11.70 CAD for a bushing and a two axles,..

I'll just Stuff that Shoulder Screw all up in there. 😁

Not sure what you got there... but doesn't the bolt need to be this flavor?

View attachment 196452

And if you are staying with 10mm...why do you need new bolts anyway?
Just took a look at mine and there's a 8mm shoulder in the frame that the bolt goes through so I have to stay 8mm.
Does yours have a similar 10mm shoulder in the frame and suspension linkage? I'm talking about the area where the 2 screw heads rest on.
