Well...the wait is over, Santa (FedEx) delivered our Black Rize X and White Bolt X.
Boxes and packaging were all good,no issues.
Rize X build took a while, fenders and rack take some effort. Overall, it went smooth and found zero issues.
Bolt X build was half the time and super easy. Again no issues.
To add some perspective...I am 5’9” and my wife is 5’0. Yes she is that short.
This added a challenge to making a purchase.
First impression of the Rize X - it is massive, and heavy. I just fit it...I am a very experienced mountain biker so I am able to make it work but take note for anyone shorter than me...not recommended.
Wife’s first impression of the Bolt X - “Why is the handle bar thingy so high”
The vertical “stem” of the Bolt X is very long and looks odd at first, but once she sat on the bike it seems to make sense. Even at 5’0, the short seat to bar length or overall reach is short and so seated and holding the handle bars is very horizontal and keeps her upright. Most bikes have her leaning over and this creates a sore back after a long ride.
The folding aspect of the Bolt X is soooo cool.
The batteries are charging, so I don’t have a ride impression yet...and it is very cold and snowy here in Manitoba so I will have to find a good time to test them out. And I am certainly looking forward to it!
