Riese and Müller front bag

What bags people using for the Riese and Müller front rack? Quite surprised they don’t make one to fit.
Thanks.

Excellent question, I am wondering the same , so far I was considering if it is possible to attach Basil basEasy holder https://www.basil.com/en/baseasy-system-stemholder-zwart.html and then use Basil bags with it. From the pictures it seems that I can attach the plate directly on the bike front holder (I would not not use the stem). Would be nice to know if someone already tried something like that ...

Google "porteur rack bag" to see the options.

Thanks to your search suggestion (!) I found this, which might be pretty ideal. My R&M Superdelite is on order, so I will need to wait until it gets here to take measurements and see if this bag would work. Maybe a current R&M owner can chime in. This bag is tall but looks foldable and can be enlarged when needed. https://www.blessthisstuff.com/stuff/wear/bags-luggage/waxed-porteur-rack-pack-by-laplander-bags/

And I agree, with R&M making such a standard front rack, why doesn't some bag company jump on that and offer a bag for the R&M front rack?

I did notice that Dill Pickle Gear offers to make custom bags to your specs and apparently for a pretty reasonable price. https://www.dillpicklegear.com/picklejar/index.php?route=product/category&path=260
Maybe we could even interest Dill Pickle in offering a standard bag design to R&M owners. What does everyone think?

There are a few listed in the following very large German forum, if you can find em:

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just ordered my superdite and will be looking for a bag for the front rack.

Check out the Cycling Trucker on YouTube. He uses a Restart Rando Bag https://restrap.com/products/rando-bag-small. I've ordered a R&M Superdelite and will definitely be taking a serious look at this when my bike arrives in July.

I love this bag, but as it’s 20 cm high it blocks the front light by 3 cm at least. My dealer Fullycharged (not my drug dealer!), recommended the Ortlieb handlebar pack (9l) https://www.ortlieb.com/uk/handlebar-pack

I think it’s better just to buy a dry bag held down by a Topeka cargo net https://www.topeak.com/global/en/products/basket/324-cargo-net - If you have soft things in the bag you can squish them down slightly to allows space for the front headlight.

When I had the Charger GX (2017) I used this handlebar bag from North Street Bags - with a couple of bicycle clipstraps purchased off of Amazon to keep the bag from moving around. A smaller bag but plenty of room for essentials and some food or what not.

I had a very minimalist bag made by The Spindle here in Atlanta. I want it low so it did not interfere with the head lamp and small so I can carry just the essentials. It holds a spare tube, small tool kit, pump, sunglasses, mask, sunscreen, wallet and light rain jacket. It is just enough to ride without pannier when wanted.

That’s quite nice. How much was it to be made?

Very nice. If you can, how is it attached? And, what are the bag dimensions? Much thanks.

I wanted to buy the Rando Bag, but the retailer has advised it won't fit on the front carrier:

Looking at the photo of the rack on the link you provided, it looks like the Rando Bag won't fit on that rack I'm afraid, mainly due to the flat top, which wouldn't allow our fittings plate to fit onto it (see photo below for reference)

Has anyone bought one of these and fitted it?

Hi Squaxor, The only reference I've seen on this bag is here
Fast forward to 8:20, unfortunately he doesn't show how he's fixed it on. I guess if the retailer is advising against it then I would take their word for it. As you've mentioned before it looks like it will also obscure the light.

He shows a little later that he attaches the bag using cable ties on the very front of the rack. I think if I raise the light then it should be possible.

Let me know how it goes. It is a super looking bag and it would be ideal for my needs.
