Revive a depleted battery - Vado 5.0 SL

Purchased second hand a 2021 Vado 5.0 still in the box. It's been sitting in a garage for a year. The battery won't take a charge. Charger light turns red for a few moments and then turns green. I have read that if I can apply a trickle charge, then it may be possible to get enough voltage to start charging again. Any pointers on equipment to do so? or other ideas? Or am I stuck replacing the battery?

I have done batteries like this in the past, but these were lead acids and not lithium based. The trickle conditions the lead to accept a charge. The batteries do have a report function on them, so Specialized can see if has not been used. Shop / Specialized would be my first call. On the Creo battery, it states to be charged ever 90 days, but you can only see this when battery removed.

I agree with the others, you can take it in to Specialized dealer to run a diagnostic on the bike and battery good luck

Took it to a Specialized shop. They joked that only one tech at the shop was a fan of electric bikes and he would look at it. He managed to resurrect the battery and I ride it for my 10-mile commute more than I ride my GoCycle.
