2 months in and I need a new rear. When my pre-order arrives Im giving this to my wife so I thought a wider tire would feel more stable...

Can i go up to 2.5? Maybe 2.8?

You can go 2.35, that's the wider tire I was able to fit and use without problems. However front will accept something a little wider, maybe 2.4 or so.

I went for some less expensive, durable tires since most of the riding is on the street. Kenda Nevegal X Pro 27.5 X 2.10. I paired it with a Slime tube to try and ward off any flats.

So far they're fine, not quite as soft as the stock tires, but road performance is as good, slightly better off-road.

I found them for $30 each on ebay.

Hello.I just bought this tires Schwalbe Super Moto-X Performance Wired 584 x 62 mm / 27,5 x 2,40''.I hope they will fit perfectly on both wheels, I also measured the frame in the back and it would be ok. Has anyone tried this model of tires?

I just installed the new tires, they fit perfectly on the rim. Even the 2.8" would have fit without any problem. The only problem was that they were a little crooked and I had to tap them with a plastic hammer, but I solved the problem quickly. Also, Scwalbe tires are extraordinarily easy to replace, I took them off the rim very quickly. Before I had Smart Sam Performance Addix 27.5 x 2.25. I haven't had the time to do a longer test yet because the weather is very bad, it's cold and it will rain again. I did a little test without the battery to see how the bike feels on the road and it seemed to me that it makes less noise. I'm curious if I'll gain a few more km at maximum speed, and also the battery should last longer because the friction with the road is less. :)

Actually, I bought the 2.8's.

I bought a 29" wheel and a Schwalbe Hurricane tire for it but got mixed up and thought that a 70C was 29"

So I had to buy a 29" Hurricane as well.
The Hurricane tread design makes sense to me. Smooth center tread for low rolling resistance, with knobs on the sidewall for some grip in the dirt.

I have yet to install that tire as well.
I bought new inverted air forks to go with the 29" wheel.

For a tire size ETRTO 62-584 (27.5x2.4"), Schwalbe recommends a rim with an inner width between 19mm and 39mm. This is a common size for 27.5" mountain bike tires.Check the specifications of the rim: The next step is to check the specifications of the rim you have or are planning to purchase. 27.5" rims can have different inner and outer width dimensions. You need a rim that matches the recommended width for the Schwalbe Super Moto-X tire.Choosing the right rim: When choosing the rim, make sure it has the right inner widthfor your tire. In general, for a 27.5x2.4" Schwalbe Super Moto-X tire, a rim with an inner width of around 25-35mm would be suitable. This will provide adequate support for the tire and contribute to performance and durability general of the system. For the Schwalbe Super Moto-X 27.5x2.8", the ETRTO size is probably something like 70-584.Consult the manufacturer's recommendations: Check the tire manufacturer's (Schwalbe) recommendations for the right rim width for the specific tire size. Schwalbe will usually offer a range of rim widths to suit their tyres.Choose a rim with the right width: According to the manufacturer's recommendations, choose a rim with a suitable inner width for the 27.5x2.8" tire. This should be wide enough to provide support and stability to the tire. The right rim width: For a 27.5x2.8" tire, you'll need a rim with an inner width generally between 35mm and 45mm.

My rim width is 20mm, it is written inside, so 2.4" tire is optimal. :)

,..: For a 27.5x2.8" tire, you'll need a rim with an inner width generally between 35mm and 45mm.

These are the tires that are on my new Voltbike and I intend to install the Super Moto-X tires on the rims.

I figured they should fit because the rims already have a 3" tire on them.

I measured the outside diameter of the rim and got 41.5 mm so I think I'm in the right ballpark allowing for up to 3.5 mm wall thicknesses.

I think that I'm going to install the accidentally purchased Schwalbe Hurricane 27.5" X 2.25" on the front instead of the Super Moto-X?

It's got some knobs on the sidewalls that should help if I start to slide out in the dirt or gravel.
The front wheel will have a smaller diameter than the rear then, but I don't think that I'll notice or care?
