Reliability of ebike motors. Let the arguments commence!

Actually that's where they would be if we didn't open trade with them and allow them to steal and copy all our tech.
We proved for over a century that we can manufacture everything... then greed took over.

I've only an issue with one of two of my Bafang 750w rear hub motor on my Radrover with +4000 miles on each is when the odometer stopped working but still provide full PAS power and throttle when riding. My +3 year old mid-drive Bafang M620 Himiway Cobra Pro has been perfect. The wife has a 2018 Shengyi 750w direct drive rear hub on her Radcity that has been trouble-free.

The Chinese made clocks with gears and springs when the west used sundials. They had fine silk when the west had wool homespun. The root of machine is Chine.

Try cleaning the ferrous dust off the speed sensor pick up.

True....they have a lot of history and much to be proud of. But in modern history they were stuck.
Their position now is because of the west.
Take the precision of the Bafang Throttle... manufactured in Poland 🙃

Speed sensor provides information to calculate speed. The odometer is a function of the display/controller using the same information. If the speed is correct, then the sensor is working correctly.

Yeah, we kinda flew past them
Their entire modern world was purchased or stolen off mostly the west.
My girlfriend travelled China as a PA selling them digital telephone exchanges, complete with spyware, tbh
Thats probably where it started.

Their four game changing inventions were printing, gunpowder, the compass and paper, which were obviously as important as the electric motor in their day.

They are paying enormous royalties, these things get worked out in the end, joining the WTO is the first step.

Works both ways of course.

Then there was the opium war. The Brits drugged their population. And drank tea from bone china.

The usual, we played warring factions off against each other and paid off the powerful.
But anyway, what goes around...

150,000 Hong Kongers came to Britain after we gave it back and gave them residency, and now they are worried a huge Chinese Embassy is being built.
