I ran Tannus with tubes on my recumbent etrike (20" wheels), and always kept my pressure at the bottom of the recommended range (40-45 psi) on the sidewall. Knock wood, I never had any flats during the 250 miles I put on that trike...I have ridden, raced and worked on cars, motorcycles and bikes since I was a child. The bike was almost new. Probably less than 100 miles. Since the Tannus blow out, I have kept both tires at 35 psi and no problems. 35 psi makes them to hard to have any give. Moreover, on the Tannus webiste it states: For inner tube users, test about 10 PSI (0.68 BAR) less. I wish I had read this before the hassle. But live and learn. It seems obvious, but I don't think of everything, every time. Therefore, according to Tannus, if you are using a tube, like I was, reduce your pressure 10 psi.
