So my RadRunner 1 gets here this week. I will post a mini-review and my findings on this ebike when I get some time on it. Also, if anyone in or near the Norfolk, VA area wants to test ride one your'e more than welcome to take mine for a spin. I have 2 people at my job who want to take it out already waiting. Only thing changing is the seating as I have a cheap suspension post and beach cruiser seat for my fragile booty to sit on. I'll obviously hang onto the combined seat that comes with it. So the offer is open for test rides as I don't recall any Rad dealers nearby.

So I got my RadRunner 1 and my initial impressions. Packed well! My wife heard the FedEx guy drop the box with a load clunk! Pretty easy to put together. Got practice removing the rear wheel for fender installation. Dreading flats.... Bought a cheap suspension post and a Sella Royal beach cruiser seat. Bike is quick enough for me. Find level 3 my assist level favorite until I build up some endurance. Ergonomics are good for my 5"10" 220 pound body. I put on some Hafny mirrors, a bottle cage and may get a Abus Bordo so I can use the bottom cage mount to hold the lock. Also gonna mount a SHAD motorcycle trunk on the rear but deciding what size. May re-use the SHAD SH26 from my Yamaha Zuma that's been off the road for over a year. Also have a new SH39 from my wife's old motorcycle. Now to get some miles on the RadRunner. My commute is 14 miles one way. No hills, relatively smooth and lots of stop lights and crazy car drivers. I slip on the sidewalks when safe and since I'm not going full speed or riding silly it stays under the police radar. Heck, the police here have Pedego mountain bikes!
This little RadRunner is so much fun! At work everyone stops by to take it for a spin, but I have to chase them off so I can finish balancing the battery. Finally done with balancing. I ended up putting the SHAD SH26 liter trunk on it. And I 'm trying out a Seatylock, quick review in the accessories section. I got around 100 miles on the Rad at the moment. Fun fact: I rode home 15 miles using the throttle the whole way. Never pedaled once. Used 2 bars of battery on the handle bar control. Felt like a fat lazy kid the whole time!

Wow, this is an old post. But yes, I still love my 'Runner 1. Work played around with my work hours so I haven't been riding to work lately. No fun getting home around midnight. Aside from a few flats the 'Runner has been a flat out tank! I have around 2000 miles on it now. Was racking up serious miles for awhile. I still ride it as often as possible. I've done the following since buying it:
Tannus liners for flat protection.
Cascade bottle mount on headset for holding my FoldyLock.
Upgraded RAD headlight.
Upgraded display.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some other things.
