Rad City Step-Thru 3 motor clunks

My Rad City3 Step-thru motor clunks when hitting rough spot or during shift.
I believe it comes from the gear cassette slap and resonates.
Is this common or is there a fix? thanks

It's shifting OK? If so the cassette is probably fine. They will start clicking a little when worn, but that's the only noise I'm aware of from that.

Not grinding or skipping a tooth occasionally? That would indicate the need for some maintenance. A derailleur adjustment at minimum.

Wiggle the largest rear gear back and forth. If it moves enough to hear it that’s the problem.

Both of my Rad City did this clanking noise at certain pedaling speeds in gear 5 or 6. I got a new freewheel but it also had too much play. I was able to disassemble and remove a micro thin spacer to fully repair. This is not a bearing problem. Just a case of factory worker setting the necessary...
