R&M Front Carrier Bag, First pictures !!

I was planning on getting one but not really sure. I really only need a small bag for incidentals (sunglasses, gloves, etc.) that will not interfere with the light (on my Homage it is up on the bars, not below on the rack).

No ... that's one ugly looking but functional bag. There are so many options on the market. I may even use one of my old motorcycle tank bags.

Now R&M need to start offering all these cool accessories to their existing customers through a direct web shop, rather than hiding most of it away and hassling customers and dealers alike.

I believe that's the Selle Royale saddle bag that's sold by the saddle manufacturer. I have one and would recommend it if you use the SR saddle that came with your bike. https://www.selleroyal.com/en/category/accessories.

I'm noticing on these photos above, and on the site, that the SD seems to no longer have those extended bolts on the front carrier... meaning you can't hang those stinky bottles from it any more...?

Could be the bag under the saddle that R&M mention when you spec the chain lock option? Long chain that fits the café lock fits in it. I think I saw a video of it somewhere. But maybe that was a dream... sure sign of Obsessive R&M Syndrome!

Yep, thought so. My old mind wasn’t playing tricks. The chain bag is shown on another R&M video...

The new content on the R&M YouTube channel is really starting to sell these bikes well... making up for their web site which I think is really thin on detail. Hence all these questions on EBR forums!

Well that's a nice saddle bag, I wish they sold that separately. When I ordered the new Multicharger I thought the lock chain would come with a frame mounted bag, maybe the dealer mentioned that. But yeah, it's actually said in the R&M website on lock chain accessory details that it comes with this bag: "The bag is firmly attached to the saddle and allows quick and easy removal of the chain lock thanks to its ergonomic shape and Fidlock magnetic closure."

Yet again, an example of customers and dealers being hassled by R&M not having a direct to customer web shop for accessories. This company is GROWING. The product design quality just gets better and better and more and more innovative. Exciting times. They can’t do everything at once. These videos are a great step forward. Perhaps that web shop will arrive some day.

But the installation of just about anything on the front carrier blocks the light if installed on the handle bar. My ride came with the M99 mini light and it does not have a plug, wired internally. If it did one could add an extension so that it could be moved to the front of the carrier.
Sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes you don't...

Sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes you don't...

I use a Restrap bag on the front but it interferes with the light beam from the bar mounted M99 so I have to take the bag off for winter. Having the light fitted on the front rack is perfect, I have asked my friends at the bike shop if it’s possible to move the light.
