Hi,

Silly question, but couldn't find answer anywhere. What is the total width of the handlebars in cm on a Nevo GH vario 2019?
I live on 5th floor and need to check before buying if it would fit through my elevator doors, which is only 65 cm in width :)

Thanks!

The handlebar is the Ergotec Ergo XXL Plus (31.8 mm clamp)
According to Ergotec, the width is 590mm. They list three widths but this is the only width at safety level 6 which is what RM states for the handlebar.

You could probably double-check with your dealer or even RM.

Hmm. 65 cm is a mighty skinny elevator door. Some people might get stuck in that elevator.

I have a 2019 Nevo GH Vario. A US model, and I just went out and measured the handlebar width as 26.13 inches. That's about 66 cm, but of course you can turn the bars and wiggle the bike through a narrower opening.

I guess a mirror is out of the question!

While not this model, I have never had an elevator issue.

By the way, when you order your e-bike delivered from R & M, does it come ready-to-ride?

Just curious, what adjustments will have to be made when it comes to my door, getting my first e-bike :)

I’m assuming it’s shipped to your dealer who will do the final assembly. Then you ride away!

BTW, you could probably swap out the grips for ones that are more cylindrical and use flat plugs for the bar ends. That would shave off a bit. You could also saw a bit off as suggested above. I did that for a different application, and it just requires patience.

Not really, I live in Lithuania and buying it from an e-bike store in Germany. There’s no R&M dealer in Lithuania, that’s why I’m wondering.

Guessing there will be some assembly involved but not anything a non-ebike bike shop can’t handle. Perhaps you should have it shipped to a shop local to you. Ask the dealer in Germany who is shipping.
