Power saving mode? St2

I wanted to see how far I could get at my weight of 245 + gear on peddle assist 3 on my ST2. So I did not top it off for a few trips and around the 30mile mark I hit 20% it seemed the closer I got to 0% the harder I had to peddle. As I was on my home stretch it felt like I had no assist at all I was at less than 10%.

I am just Curios if the bike has some type of power saving mode as you get lower on battery life.

System dials down the current draw below 20% battery. Voltage sag being the main reason. But the system continues to provide assist down to the last 2%.

Yes I felt like the closer to 0% I got there was very little assist. I got home with 1% but from 5% down I felt like there was no engine at all or it kind of came in spurts. I have done RCs for years as well and seen a similar type of draw down done by the ESC in RCs. The closer you get to zero the less throttle you get.
