Nothing 'new' really at the moment. The author has posted on FB and elsewhere and you can set the wheel circumference/size and max speed, which is neat and convenient via his 'black box.'
The only surprise here is the latest M510 (250W motor, M600 'little brother') seems to allow a few settings all of the rest of the CANBUS motors don't - acceleration and max RPM. Also mentioned is 'startup angle' which I'm assuming let's you set the internal magnet calibration, which otherwise requires the BESST tool.
Can't do anything people haven't been doing via various CAN hack methods and a laptop for any of the 'usual' motors - M620/Ultra or M600.
Will be interesting to see what if anything happens in the future though, as there's supposed to be an M600 update, but the acceleration value and max RPM is a long ways from exposing settings like the UART motors.
