My wife's Turbo Creo has quite a bit of play in the largest two sprockets (only) on the rear cassette. I've never seen that before on a bike, and wonder if it's related to her shifting difficulties. Before I take it apart, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Or maybe Shimano/Specialized would say that it's not a bug, it's a feature!

Either the cassette lockring is not tightened properly or a spacer was lost on the cassette assembly. This must not be ridden! Get the bike to the shop for a repair immediately please!

I may not have described the problem completely. The play I see is forward-backward. I think the problem you are flagging would manifest as rocking in and out (I will double check to make sure that is not happening, but pretty sure there is no movement that would indicate missing spacers or a lockring not tightened.

The properly assembled cassette must have no play of any kind whatsoever...
