Pedego Comfort Cruiser rear rim

I have an old Pedego Comfort Cruiser. The "Cap" on the rear rim is broken. I have includes a pic. Does anyone know if the cast aluminum can be tig welded?

It may be possible. You could take it to a welding shop and ask.

Have you tried contacting Pedego? (800 646-8604)
A replacement part may not be much more than the welding cost.
