Orbea Gain 2020 - storage temp

Does anyone keep their gain garaged all winter ? I the UK we had a mild winter last year with temps rarely dropping below 0 degrees C, however we can get spells of minus temps that can last a week or so.

Can't imagine it does the battery any good if kept in cold all winter? Any advice on this appreciated, especially if been provided with advice from Orbea technical support.

I agree it is best at room temperatures as the Blue Paper suggests no extremes. However this mentions electrical system in it's entirety and not the battery specifically and I think it is condensation between close electrical connections that is the issue.

RC hobbiests store their batteries fully charged in the refrigerator to slow the natural discharge over long storage periods. It's been known that a Lipo battery should be left at a half charge for long periods and storing a fully charged battery can breakdown the battery over long periods if repeatable charged without discharging. That's why it is better to leave at a 3.6 volt charge per cell (or 36 volt for whole battery which is halfway) for longer term storage. You can achieve this half charge by charging until your iWoc 1 blinks Green. You charger will still be read until a full charge is completed so pay attention to the iWoc 1 or until your phone app says 50%.

Certainly having a few times a year when it gets cold in the garage would be less of an issue than storing lipos in a freezer or refrigerator.
