Keeping it short. LOVE my Super Commuter, but rhinos being as they are, on vacation an had to rent a bike while away. Did a Pedego......no comparison to a Super Commuter. Did the Specialized Come, wow, what a bike. Sure it was rev 2.0 and limited to 20mph, but heck I did 60+ miles in 2 days riding and quite frankly I loved it. Nice upright. Position, silky smooth shifting, all around very affordable and efficient. With that said I’d love to find a NJ dealer who has a host of different bikes to try to make a decision as to what to add to my corral. Just like before buying a new car, I like to rent one for a few days before I’m committed to a long term relationship (yes, like love too). Unfortunately with the cost of ebikes not many LBS have an inventory for rent so it’s hit and miss to find just the right one.
And I did love the Trek Domane e-bike but I annoy justify that level of investment for a dedicated road bike if I use trails, am old, don’t want to be hunched over, etc. But yes the landscape is changing more and more bikes to choose from and better improvements make it a tough choice. Just sharing the experience.

Specialized uses the Brose motor, which totally rocks. 90 nm torque so it’s got great acceleration. I’m all about power. ? And the motor is so quiet. Looking forward to a photo of your next purchase.

I love my Como 4.0! Have only had it for two weeks. I rented a few ebikes and test rode many including Pedego, Electric Bike Company, Elby, Stromer ST1, Trek Super Commuter+, Raleigh ReDux, Electra, and a few others. I liked things about each one. But when I test rode the Como 4.0, I knew that was the one for me. Rides great and looks great!

Hi, everyone. Since this particular thread lives in the TREK FORUM, I'll keep this brief, but since I recently got a Como 5.0 I wanted to add that I'm really enjoying it. If you care to visit the Specialized forum here on EBR, you'll find more info there. I do love Trek bikes and I've owned a few great ones over the years. Happy trails!

Yes, I would spend some time in the Specialized forum also. What steered me away from Brose (although I still love how silky smooth they are). Some scary motor replacement stories (every 3 months ??o_O??) over there with Specialized implementation of Brose. Of course these stories come from commuters who put serious miles in.

I rode many as well, love Treks but, ended up buying a Como 3.0 and love it!
