I've bought an NCM Moscow+ a month or so ago and love it. Now I've gone out and bought a 2nd ebike already! On Kijiji (Canada's buy/sell site) I spotted an Amego Elevate 27.5" for cheap that was advertised as running great and having a good battery. I went and checked it out and it had 4000km on it but battery was still charging to 53.7v and owner claimed 40km+ range. I gave it a test drive and the issues it has are minimal.
Little chain jump on the rear sprocket under load, I am hoping I can tune that out. It does have a brand new chain but NOT a new freewheel so we'll see.
Seal around the left side of the front fork is loose and rides free, unsure if that's repairable or not. Fork seems to work fine otherwise.
Bike is very nice with hydraulic disc brakes, 500w motor, 48v 13ah battery, very much the mirror of my Moscow+ just a bit older. My rational for a 2nd bike is that now my GF or son can come along on rides. My son comes along now on his 2-stroke motorized bike but now he can join me on an electric AND he can stop borrowing my ebike for runs to the store, lol. My GF enjoys an occasional ride but hasn't got the leg stamina for longer rides, with the 2nd ebike I can see her on PAS 4 or 5 and us going on a 30km ride now. My son is also going to love the bike because the L7 display is de-restricted, I was able to chug out 42km/hr on it and it was still giving me an assist! I am comfortable on PAS 3/4 in around 20-23km/hr but he'll love having higher speed choices. It's also fantastic the battery is compatible with the Moscow+.
I just hope it doesn't kick off a monster in me as I am already looking at a clapped out 24v ebike from 2012 with weird geometry but that would be a nice petite ebike for my GF to use getting around town. Motor and controller are good but battery is a sealed lead acid affair and no good. If i can grab it cheap I might drop a new controller and battery on it and she can get around town on it or we can go for occasional short 3 person family rides. I feel I'd probably keep the capacity low on her bike so she can carry it up stairs at her office. Maybe a 24v 16ah or if I over-volt to 48v with a new controller I could potentially rig it to use a one of the 48v dorado+ style batteries we already own.
