I want to do trips similar to this guy but with a 10+kg heavier ebike with 5kg of Solar charging equipment for when I feel lazy,
and this is almost in winter, the water requirements in summer (40+ Degree Celcius) would be crazy:

I like this guy's packing list and gear list, and bluntly if you are starting off at bike touring you should look really hard at anything you are carrying that he doesn't mention:

To be honest, he could knock three to five kg off that gear list by making more efficient clothing choices and better choices on his sleep system and shelter. I'd argue he could do that and actually be more comfortable, and bluntly carrying less is always more comfortable than carrying more.

I've spent three days hiking from Death Valley to Lone Pine (which is a desert) unsupported and started off with about 19kg, 12kg of which was water. So I know what I'm about.

Note that the rear rack on a Supercharger is bolted to the frame - it is the weld that attaches the mounting bracket to the bottom of the sidebars of the rack that keep cracking.
I am currently also considering a FAIV front rack, but they're expensive: https://faiv.de/luggage-rack-for-suspension-fork/
Hi, i'm curious to know if you've had any success with your new Supercharger rack and if it looks anything like the one in this German forum and attached pic (lower strut weld).
