Nyon is no more.

Or it won't be at some stage over the next week.

I've decided that I prefer the Intuvia system for e-mtb use.

Nyon is sadly too big and bulky for my e-mtb use, and Intuvia suits the role far better.

I know that this post is over a year old, did you switch back to Intuvia? What did you do with your old Nyon?

I removed Nyon a very long time ago in favour of Intuvia, and sold it on Ebay.

I'm also now in the procees of getting rid of Intuvia in favour of Purion for both bikes. Finally a dispaly fit for eMTB use. :)

Not so sure about the buttons on the top and bottom, @eddie J but the big numbers & letters are great. Like the overall compact size and bigger buttons on the left side; easy to reach and probably less likely to get smashed if (or when ) you go down. Is this display easily removed?

Hi Ann, I hadn't thought about the removal of the display.

I never leave my display unit on the bike when not in use, so you have raised a very good point that I need to check before I go any further.

Thanks for thinking about that. :)

Just an FYI guys. The Purion is not removable and it does not allow for charging of external devices. It also doesn't have an internal battery so there is no concern about the display battery dying like the Intuvia.

The Purion will be backward compatible as long as the drive unit has the latest updated software.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chris.

For my point of view usb holds no interest to me.

I have also never heard of Intuvia going flat, but then mine doesn't sit around long enough for that. :)

I'm still leaning towards buying two Purion systems though, as for my use, the benefit for off road use outweigh not being able to remove the system.

Having said that, bike security is clearly a major concern for anyone, and being able to remove a display goes a long way towards that. I think that is an oversite on the part of Bosch that it isn't removable.
