For those who have upgraded their Bosch powered ebike to the Nyon, what is your favorite feature of the Nyon?

I upgraded my Gazelle Arroyo from the Intuvia to the Nyon last winter, but because of weather and my wife's health problems was not really able to use it until the last couple of weeks. There are two features I really like that caught my attention right away. The first is showing the battery level as a percent instead of the 5 bar symbol. The second feature I really like is the measure of the estimated motor vs human power shown on the ride analysis screen in the app. I ride mostly in Eco mode and that measure shows the motor is providing about 42% of the power on my typical ride and I am doing the other 58%. I don't know how that is calculated or how accurate it is, but it helps confirm my belief that I am getting great exercise riding my ebike, especially considering that I take much longer rides (more than twice the distance) than I did when I had a conventional bike.

So, if you have a Nyon, what are your favorite features?

By far the Custom Riding modes. For me the standard modes are generally more assist than I want, so without the custom modes I would not enjoy my Trek Domane + nearly as much. In addition, the ability to create custom curves, where assist level varies with speed, is awesome. I am not aware of another system that allows that feature.

By far the Custom Riding modes.

I have always wondered what the speed curve for the Bosch standard Touring mode is. In particular, at what speed does the curve start dropping towards zero. Do you happen to know what the original speed curve looked like before you customized it?

I think the standard ones are just at their constant levels until 25 mph or so and then they decrease to zero by 28 mph (i.s., it is slightly more gradual than an abrupt cutoff at 28 mph). At least that's how it was on my Haibike Race. I literally have not used the standard modes on my Domane + to know if it is the same but my guess is that it is.

For me the curve starts dropping at 26 and reach zero at 27 km/h no matter which ordinary assist level I choose. The customized levels drop to zero at 25. I can change back and forth between ordinary and customized on Nyon. The customized assist curves are easily adjusted in the eBike Connect app.

I really like the custom ride and custom fitness screens. Displaying the exact data that i find useful is a treat. Also the automatic wifi upload of ride data when I get home is very handy. Route planning is also a great feature. There are limitations but getting turn by turn directions that pop up on screen is a great feature. The only real negative is minor and that is the long (20-30 second)boot time when first starting up.

After seeing some of Alaskan's posts, if I get a Bosch powered ebike I'll definitely want the Nyon display. I really like the data on the power split between motor and rider.
