No power?

Hello. This has been super frustrating. Bike worked awesome for 4 months. Then just wouldn't powee on. Seller figured it was a battery issue so sent me a new one on warranty. No dice. I figured the controller. Bought a new one. No dice. Power on LCD display perhaps... No dice... I bought a new bike since (similar style) plugged my harness in from one that doesn't power on to the one that does and it powered the other. So not the harness. Thinking maybe the discharge connector? Any advice would be appreciated!

I've seen electrical issues caused by corrosion so slight as to be invisible. Not saying that's what your problem is, but take apart every connector you have, put a tiny dab of dielectric grease on the contacts and put them together and take them apart several times before leaving them together. This includes the battery connector.

A multimeter is an essential tool. You can get one good enough for 99% of what you'll ever need for $10 to $20 at Home Depot or Walmart.

Anyway, the most elusive electrical problems I run into are usually fixed by cleaning connectors.

I've tested the harness through another bike and all seems good so

Who made the bike by the way? What kind of motor is it?

What part of the harness are you talking about? Is it the wires from controller to motor? Or is it between the controller and display?

Tested the discharge connector from the battery and barely shows a level which would mean there's not enough power out to even wake the LCD screen. I've a new discharge connector on order and will confirm when it arrives. Thanks for the input!

An odd connector. I've yet to see a vendor using those.

Your issue is confusing. You have two good batteries but neither puts out the power? You're testing power out, from the controller?

It'd be helpful to have some clear idea as to which battery, motor, and controller.

It is frustrating. I feel for you!

Quite confusing. Only Tommy here knows what's going on. However, the connector looks like the one used by
your typical "silverfish" battery that goes behind the seat post. For reference, here's mine.

And here's the connector. This bike only has 120 miles on it, but I rode it thru 4" of water for about 300 yards. The connector is probably not his problem, but the silverfish is not a good battery design system. There is no cushioning of the pack where it sits on the frame, and it rattles like mad. I have to find an elastic strap with a buckle that I can use to snug the pack up against the seat post.
