New Specialized Levo SL

Awesome bikes.

The Shimano series are updated and later versions - most recent is 7000 to 8000. Kind of like the Bosch CX - now on Gen4 for 2020.
Some comments from riders were that they liked the 7000 better - it was smoother and easier to ride. Seems all these drive motors are getting more powerful and more refined, smaller in formfactor, more integrated with rider and bike, more technology to go with them, and frame-integrated batteries.

What about the 6100?

There are good explanations of all of them by google search. From what I gather, the E6000 is an early iteration (2015) with 50nm of torque, designed to compete directly with the Bosch Activeline with a 45nm rating.

If I'm not mistaken, the E7000 is rated at 60nm and the E8000 at 70nm.
Some good explanation and specs here:

Court just posted his review on EBR today... a very nice bike, but a bit pricey at over $9K USD.

Summary
  • One of the most satisfying lightweight full suspension electric mountain bikes available... just 38.8lbs total! Uses a proprietary mid-drive motor and downtube-integrated battery pack that weigh under 8.3lbs combined. Optional range extender bottle-shaped batteries weigh 2.3lbs, are easy to use, and the control system allows for simultaneous or independent drawdown. You can even remove the downtube battery and rely solely on the range extender packs, which may be eligible for commercial air travel
  • Boost hub spacing for strength, varied front and rear tire for improved handling and traction, impressive SRAM G2 RSC hydraulic disc brakes with quad piston calipers and 200/180mm rotors, tool-free adjustable brake levers with reach and contact point, four frame sizes and two color options, stock 29er wheel size with flip chip to enable 27.5 650b, infinitely adjustable dropper seat post
  • Premium Fox air suspension front and rear with 150mm travel for cross country and all mountain riding (designed around the Stumpjumper with slacker head tube angle and longer wheelbase), Intuitive and durable button pad and main control unit with LED lights that can be turned off, optional Mission Control smartphone app offers power setting adjustments, optional TCU LCD display and Ant+ wireless is great for fitness training (watts, cadence, rpm, bpm)
  • Limited motor torque at 35nm vs. 90nm on the Brose motor system (used on non-SL Levo and Kenevo), high pitched whine produced by motor when pedaling at high RPM (comparable to Bosch CX), charging ports on non-driveside of bike can be difficult to reach when laid down, the bikes are expensive and Specialized charges extra for the power cable to connect the optional Range Extender battery... as well as a dual-charging splitter cable

Thank you very much @FlatSix911!
P.S. I've watched the Court's review of the SL. An impressive e-MTB. Pity I'm not in the single track cycling. (It looks the SL was made for active, healthy cyclists.)

AAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEESSOOOMMMEEE! I have been following this company for about a decade and finally gave up on them. They were very emphatic about not getting into the E-bike market. They were steadfast in their decision according to the corporate rep. Now it has finally arrived and I am stoked! Hope to see more from them. They have beautiful testing grounds/rentals for employees at their headquarters. Awesome brand and company. Kudos! Just as I had suspected that they are in the $7-$13k price range. Thanks for posting.
