new bike day in MA

My mom just got a Trek + Verve 3. The battery is integrated which is great but she is having a hard time getting the battery to click back in after charging it. Any tips and tricks?

wack it with your palm thats the best way to remove it too.

Does the battery require a key to remove ?

Use the key turned to open, push battery fully in the turn key to locked.

Is does require a key but it seems like she is having trouble getting the battery to sit right so that she can turn the key. My dad was able to do it by applying more force but the Trek video makes it look like it is easy to take in/out. The shop struggled a bit too when they tried to lock it back into place. They brought it inside and returned with it all locked up. I should have asked them what they had to do. Maybe I'll try calling them.

Good idea. With my wife's I turn the key to unlock before putting any pressure to seat the battery. Sounds like yours might have some issue with the actual lock mechanism?
