Neoprene Ebike Battery Covers for Cold Weather

My Fahrer neoprene cover for Bosch came with instructions that said never use when charging and to only use with temps under 15 celsius (59F).

Neoprene covers are 80's tech. Use some aerogel, you have an advanced transportation device , use an advanced cover also.

Is it safe/advisable to use neoprene covers year round? I have a Haibike that has a removable battery cover that tends to come loose and in some cases fall off. I was thinking one of these covers would easily secure it, but is there any harm in using one in warmer weather?

Does your bike monitor battery temp?
If so, keep withing the guidelines of manufacturer recommendations.
Basic battery theory dictates that hot temps are batteries greatest foes.

A properly built battery will not generate much heat. A black case in the sun will of course affect pack temperature. I’d discuss with your maker directly. They have excellent customer service.

So after seeing that the cost of shipping and the price of a Velcro closed sleeve was close to 60 bucks, I decided to buy the materials to DIY it from amazon sold components. Turns out you can buy high quality scuba neoprene online for really cheap ($10-$15 for a wide yard). I plan to report back!

Any suggestions for a battery cover that would fit the Yukon 750?
I make custom battery aerogel covers, designed to withstand -70°C to +70°C 3mm thin, 175$/piece for a pack up to 700wh. Anything larger then 700wh requires more use of this expensive and hi tech material and thus higher price.

Neoprene is bulky and needs at least a 10mm thickness for good cold climate protection(anything <10°C negatively impacts battery performance) .
Also when going for a ride it will never be the same temperature +\-15° or even Bigger differences from a top of a mountain and then if you ride all the way sea level . I only take off the battery cover June , July , August , September. The cells best operating temp. Is 22.5-30.5°C.

Thanks

Ps. I first brought aerogel on EBR back in nov. '19 , and have had a few followers already...
