Hi. First time poster. I'm trying to figure out why didn't ride1up use a IR-21700 reention rhino in the 700 series built after march 2022? Is it because they would have to to a retool on the frame? The one they are using now is the IR7 with the maxed out 39cell 15ah 21700 option. Before that was the IR5 that was maxed out 14ah 18650. The width and the height are both the same on the IR5 and 7 with the 7 being 441mm in length. That's why they say the latest pak wont fit in the 1st gen of the 700 because it's too long. By the way both the cruiser and the 700 are the exact same battery. Now with the IR21700 it's only 5mm larger both width and height and still 441mm long. Has anyone got their hands on a IR21700 to see if it fits? The frame on the 700 is exactly 3 inches wide. If it does then that would make a 48v 20ah battery on the 700. If not the only higher capacity options for the 700 are the IR7 48v 17.5ah and the 52v 17.5ah in 18650 form. The controller can handle 52v, but theres no way to control the extra voltage and would drain just as fast as a 48v. Theres a bunch of the 17.5ah IR7's available overseas, but I'm itching to see if anyone has tried the IR21700? The range would be phenomenal.
