I thought that I'd post some pictures of what I came up with for my tool bag.

Hey PC
Where did you find that tool roll? What are the size measurements,
length and height?.

I see you like mud bogging also.........

My first crash and burn was just like that, only it was 10* when I went thru the ice on the puddle, and I just about froze my legs off, being soaked thru on the pants,
from the waist down.

Here you go,..

There is also another version that looks more durable and heavy duty,..

I just stumbled on it when I was looking for a canvas tool bag.
I didn't know that they came with compartments and could roll up.

I didn't do that on purpose. 😂
I went down a trail where I could go around the first few mud puddles but they kept getting worse and I had to start going through the mush.

My first crash and burn was just like that, only it was 10* when I went thru the ice on the puddle, and I just about froze my legs off, being soaked thru on the pants,
from the waist down.

I ended up getting completely bogged down. My fenders got jammed with mud and the wheels wouldn't turn.
I ended up falling over about a dozen times, but luckily I didn't fall over myself.

I was really strange when the front wheel locked up. It kept plowing forward but it would slide out sideways and the bike would fall over.

Not surprised. Very little space between the mud guard and tyre.

DG…

I cleaned the front fender out three times with a stick to get the wheel rolling again then it occurred to me to unbolt the fender brackets to give me more clearance to remove the mud.
I had managed to get my bike back to the pavement and the front wheel was buzzing from the mud.
I was pedaling and the motor was maxed at 700 Watts but I was only going 8 kph. 😂

No more more mud puddles for me. 😂
I'll be turning around if I encounter anything that I can't ride around.

Nice setup!

Canvas tool rolls are a convenient way to carry many different items on a bike. I prefer individual canvas bags though, so they can be stashed in different locations like bike bags or panniers. On some rides, I don't want to carry everything and the individual bags make it easy to take along just the stuff I need.

I moved my bike bag further to the rear on the rack to make space for more of these canvas bags:

The only down side to these canvas bags is they tend to trap moisture. Moist air permeates the fabric and water can condense, particularly on metal tools. It's always a good idea to air them out occasionally and coat metal objects with a thin layer of lube. I try and use stainless or chrome plated tools whenever possible.

I don’t have a tool bag. My ride is almost 4 miles, one way. Am I crazy? Should I get a bag? Maybe a pump? I have a hub motor and even if the chain got jacked, I can still make it to my destination.

I'm mostly worried about a flat tire.
If my rear tire goes flat, the tire falls off the rim and gets jammed in the frame so I'd have to carry the rear end of my e-bike.
I've been more than 15 miles from home and down a 5 mile dirt path with no cell reception and no access to me except with a quad or dirt bike.

I need to be able to fix my own flat tire.

I thought of something else to add to my tool kit in case I get a slice in my tire,..

The thread was used for sewing boat seats together and I've used dental floss for stitching up windsurfing sails.

My every day carry tool bag, I carry light only multi tool with chain breaker. I have mini pump zip tied to my bike and tire plugs in a small cannister pro tool brand that goes at the handlebar end.
So far my bike has been very reliable.
It's very well maintained.
