First impressions apparently are the most important, so i was told, well believe you me i am impressed with the overall build of the beast as well as its performance.
First time on a bike in a very long time out of shape, over 50 and on a chubby side i was worried that after first couple of kilometers i will get too tired and just quit, well i have experienced something unexpected and surprising to me, just wanted to keep on going just like the energizer bunny...hehehe... i did not want to get off the bike.
Wow what a bike, what a ride @ 36 psi on paved roads or loose gravel and on dirt pathways it feels like it is glued to the surface, it just may be my imagination or too much sunshine and fresh air playing tricks on me but that is my story and i am sticking to it.
Now the ugly side, i can not stand the seat, i have tried adjusting and re-adjusting it and can`t find any comfortable position on it, totally useless for me got to get a better seat... thinking of Sunlite Cloud-9 Comfort Men's Saddle hopefully it will be more cushy for my tush-e.
Front wheel orange reflector went sideways and got ripped off the spoke breaking in half, scared the crap out of me. I was thinking of putting a small zip-tie on them before my ride but forgot to do so, old age i guess....
First official ride took me around Credit river for about 40 km and i had to get off because of the seat, could not handle the torture any longer. Started with 5 battery bars on the display and had 3 bars left when i came back, now mind you the battery was not fully charged since i did not wait for the green light to come on on the charger, too eager to get going...
Brakes are really powerful and you got to pay attention when applying them or risk a quick flight over the handle bar, ok you keep laughing it almost happened to me today, too much breaking power for this old geezer to handle. Must be that red color making it go so fast....
Ok i will stop rumbling on now and put up some pictures.
