Wooww, i can see you are passionate about conversions hahah, why did you convered a commuter and gravel? Is the diffence really noticeable? You converted both with the same conversion kit? I'm curious
I probably have done close to 20 conversions. I had not owned a new bike since my 1975 Gitane 12 speed. In 2015, I bought a new GT hybrid, and saw an ebike on display. I bought one later for my wife, and after seeing how it was put together, I converted an old 1990 Trek. I kicked off my conversion hobby. A money losing hobby by the way,
Sure, an ebike is fun to ride. Makes a beater pedal bike easy to ride. On the other hand, if the seat hurts, or brakes loose, that won't go away, but those issues can be fixed with more money, Ten years ago, one could convert to a bike style that wasn't commonly found in commercial bikes. You can, if you wish, convert bikes with monster motors that go crazy speeds.
However these days, you can often find a commercial bike of similar quality for less than converting your own bike. It's more of a hobby thing where you might want to be ebiking on something you owned when you were younger.
