My new Brompton Electric

Hi there. I've been the happy owner of a Brompton for about four years having commuted by bike for years before. I recently moved to a more hilly area and at 63 found one particularhill to much on daily basis. I tested two electric Bromptons (2 speed and 6) and loved riding them up hills! Bought a six speed which has transformed my journey turning hills into mild slopes. However last two days I've experienced intermittent power outages which I will check out with Brompton and possibly get some tips here and share anything I discover.

Welcome to the site.
I hope your local shop can resolve your power issues. Ittermittant connections in the battery are difficult to deal with.

Curious whether you considered just getting a kit from Grin Technologies or alternative? seems a lot more cost effective than getting the brompton electric

Most likely, the magnetic comtacts need to reposition to have a firm hold when going thru the bumps.

Interesting lightweight (30 pounder) ebike, targeting the inner city streakers, mariners, RV'ers, and the last miler crowd. More practical and better serviceability than the fancy Gocycle.
