Hello my name is Kepa,
I had an electric bike and It got stolen from my dorms bike locks. The thief didn't get my battery and now I am hoping that I can still use the battery for either an at home build or to make the purchase of my next electric bike cheaper. I couldn't find any information on the battery pack itself but I figured you guys may know more about this than me. It is the same pack used on the eg Kyoto, eg enterprise, and one other eg bike. The bike that I bought I can no longer find online because I bought it straight from china a couple of years ago. Anyways if anyone has experience with this can you please help me find a way to use this battery?
thank you in advance!

You can post few pictures of the battery, any labels it may have or pictures of your former bike. You never know someone may be just looking for a battery or have a similar setup and be very helpful.
Are you looking to replace your bike and use the battery in it or just looking for ideas how to use it at home.

I believe those EG bikes were 24 volt with 10 amp hour (240 watt hour) battery, no longer in favor with the industry. Frog Packs are still used, but most often 36 or 48 volt. Here's a much bigger pack at 36 volt, 10 amp hour (360 watt hour) for $169.00. It's not tops in tech, but gives you a benchmark of value.

Take into account ~10% loss of capacity per year, it might be penny wise and dollar foolish to force yourself into using your old battery. Many ebikes are a total write off after a few years, just due to newer technology, battery chemistry and capacity.

Maybe you can sell the battery to someone who needs it and take the money to get something better that suits your current needs.

Sorry for your loss, good luck going forward.

@kepa, sorry to hear that your bike was stolen; that's pretty rotten. That EG battery is 24V but hardly any ebikes are built now with that small size battery. If you just want to have some fun, find an older 24V Currie Tech scooter (branded as ezip/izip/Schwinn) and build a lithium powered scooter. Just don't sink a lot of money into it; your battery is a bit older.

Also, think about getting a more durable lock, perhaps an Abus Bordo (folding flat metal plates) or some type of U-lock.

Have you tried to get the bike back? I'm sure someone with the bike is out there posting to find a battery or posting to sell the bike maybe because they can't find a battery.

Thats tough sorry about your loss I have had several bikes stolen and those thieves deserve to have their limbs pulled off. Anyway I bet you can find the bike on craigslist or some add. Riding an electric bike with no power get real hard real quick I have run out several times and it is a load to pull. Th3e bike may turn up somewhere unless the guy knew what he was stealing which probably isn't likely . Good luck

Sell your battery at craig's list and describe it exact what ebike it is for. Most likely, the person interested on it also has your stolen ebike. Also search around on used ebikes with no batteries. One of it might be your's.
