Motor dies after 28 seconds.
I rode yesterday for the first time in a few months. The bike is a Eunorau Fat hd. The motor is a Bafang 1000 watt mid-drive.
I thought it could be the load but I tested it with the back wheel off ground and it did the same.
I can turn off the system, turn it back on and get another 28 seconds. Rinse and Repeat.
Does anyone have any experience with this or something similar? If so please tell me your solution.

Take it to the dealer you bought it from , im sure should be a warranty offered by bafang.

The bike is Eunorau, which is sold online.

Ok well I’m sure bafang will replace his motor under warranty like Bosch, Brose, shimano and Yamaha do.

Thanks. I’ll begin trying to locate someone associated with Eunorau. It being a mid drive probably means a new bicycle. I hope they’re cooperative.

I'd say you are very optimistic. On-line sellers want to send parts. Sounds like a controller to me. I think you'll understand the advantage of buying from the LBS very soon!

Folks know where the bike is from. It’s called ‘Damning with faint assistance’.

Check your wheel speed sensor for proper install and distance. Maybe it got bumped and is out of alignment.

Is that how it work though?

For example, if your Specialized ebike has a problem, would you contact Specialized or Brose?

You would take it to the specialized lbs and they would contact brose for warranty work.

It’s the battery. Happened to me twice with my Brose S motor. Different bike........same symptom.

It’d be great if it were a controller. This bike has been a problem since day one. I have less than 5 miles on it and a little over $1000.00 in assembly and repair costs.

Go to a local bike shop that sells ebikes&non-ebikes without your ebike , browse around make a small purchase. Look around at some of the bikes and strike up a conversation with one of the employees on your way out after purchase. Seeing that you made a purchase the employee will see that you’re a potential new repeat customer for parts, components, bikes& maintenance.

During the conversation mention in passing that you have an ebike that you purchased online that isn’t working atm. There’s a good chance the employee will offer to work on it for a fee if you verbally waive any responsibility to them if anything breaks. Since you’re ebike isn’t working you have nothing to lose.

I just sent the video. Also, I've been in a remodel and I have misplaced the keys to the battery compartment. How do I get another set of keys or is there another workaround for that?>
