I just bought a 2020 Vado 4.0 and wanted the 6.0 mirror as well. I contacted Specialized and was provided with this part information:

S159900001: MSC MY15 TURBO/ MY17 VADO MIRROR

I provided this information to my LBS who ordered it. Took about a week to come in. I prefer it mounted under versus over the handlebar.

Thanks. I called the dealer also. They had one that I purchased.
I came home and found out that I need to take the handlebar grip, controller button, and break handle off to install.
I will take it to them to do tomorrow.
Not good messing around with these stuff.
Did you install yourself?

I see you have changed the grips. I have these on my tandem and love them.
So far the grips on my Vado 5 are fairly comfortable. The bike is upright for me so my arms don’t get too tired to have extension. It’s new for now.

Have changed your seat?

Love the color.

Yep, sure did.

Removing those items is a breeze, I’m sure you can do it yourself. You simply loosen the hex head screws and slide them off, then reverse the process. It’ll take more time taking the bike to the shop than it will for you to do the whole process yourself!

I swapped the factory for the Cloud 9 seat I had on my previous bike. For me the factory seat is okay, but that Cloud 9 is the ticket for me.

Thanks, I wanted all black, but the 2020 4.0 doesn’t have that option.

And I also swapped out the factory grips for another set of Ergonomic GP3 grips. Those have been my go to option for many years. I like having that option of the extension for those times I stand up to ride or take off from a dead stop.

I don’t see any screws for controller.
Don’t you need a tool to take the grip out?

If I remember correctly you’d need a 2.0mm hex to loosen the controller. And for the grip, you’ll need a 3.0mm hex to loosen and remove. The brake lever should be a 5.0mm.

Here’s some pics of the controller and grip. For the controller, I took one pic looking at it from the “set” button. Look under the controller and you’ll see a small hole, in it is a 2.0mm hex, just loosen it a bit and you’l be able to slide the controller off (don’t fully remove the hex). Also, you may have to cut and replace one or two of the zip-ties.

My apologies for the pic quality, I’m just about to take her for a spin.

That’s about what I paid for mine as well. I receive a Retired Military discount so the price was a bit cheaper after the fact.

I will say, I really prefer having this mirror setup slung under the handlebars as opposed to over the top. What about you?

When I first tested Vado 6. I really liked the mirror and the horn. That how anal I am.
Of course that was in addition to the beautiful job they had done with the rest.
I then went ahead and bought another ebike since my wife said Vado is just too expensive.
But when have tried Vado nothing else will do.
Story short. I was lucky that I was able to sell the other one after one month not loosing too much money.
I quickly then ordered the Vado.
Now they had Vado 5 as a replacement for 2020
I have never been happier.
When you pass the price issue. It’s all perfect.
I have my mirror now. And horn might have been too much when you pass people (as opposed to cars and bikes) as they might panic.
