Mid-Drives With Throttle (Class 2 or 3)

There have been a few threads recently discussing throttles in relation to riding safety, IGH shifters and other issues. Most throttle enabled class 2 or class 3 e-bikes have rear hub motors, but I am aware of at least one mid drive class 2 e-bike, the 2018 Pedego City Commuter Mid Drive: https://electricbikereview.com/pedego/city-commuter-mid-drive/. There must be some others. If you know of any , please post them here.

There was a post here back in may that mentioned several mid drives with throttle:

Are you thinking of trading your Gazelle Arroyo Alan?

I wasn't a throttle fan at first. I thought of them more as a crutch which would spoil the pedaling concept of bicycling. I have to admit after using one for almost 6 months, I've come to the conclusion they do have merit. The most notable for me anyway is being able to get back if you inadvertently over extend a ride. It happened to me last week. I was enjoying the trail so much I wasn't paying attention to my odometer. When I finally checked it, I had gone 22 miles. The trip back was slightly uphill and at about the 35 mile mark, even though I was using PAS 5, I broke down and used the throttle. Yes, I could have stopped to rest a bit but it would have been dark by the time I got back.

Thanks for that link. I did a forum search before posting the thread, but did not find that discussion.

No, not thinking of trading my Gazelle ... I love it. But when the time comes (maybe in 2 or 3 years as my Gazelle battery starts wearing down), I will probably be looking for a bike that includes a throttle. I don't really need a throttle now, but after observing how my wife uses the throttle on her Blix Aveny, I came to realize that with age and health decline, the day may come where a throttle can allow one to keep riding when they otherwise may need to quit.

What prompted me to post this thread was discussion in another thread about IGH shifters (https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/swapping-to-an-igh-on-the-ccs.25349/). I have come to love my Shimano Nexus 8 shifter and would not want to give it up in order to get a throttle. So that kind of limits me to mid-drives or front hub drives. So even though I am not presently looking to trade my Gazelle, I thought I would start collecting information on what is available. Hopefully the choices will increase before I need to replace my Gazelle.
