Measurements to Take on Used FS MTB First Build

I'm checking out a 2009 Norco Shore 3 tomorrow. What measurements do I need to take to make sure a motor and battery will fit?
The Bafang BBSHD Mid Drive has three options:

68mm-73mm (Standard)
73-100mm (Fat)
120mm (Extra Fat)

What kind of battery would fit this frame?

I’m thinking there’s a reason I have none in my archives and no examples in a Google search, it’s not a good choice for a BBSxx series motor. Add a problem with mounting a battery and it’s a custom frame project out Of most skill sets.

Howitzer Spline BB

a battery solution, must support with hanging straps, but cables need a solution.

Those bikes look good. I don’t know how to weld so I’d have to screw holes and strap it to the bottom if a battery fits. If I’m the first to try on this bike that could be bad. I read that pre 2012 norcos probably have a BB that’s fits Bufang. I’ll report back with my manual measurements.

There could also be a middle narrow section that blocks a BBSxx.

Ok I saw the bike. I’m pretty sure I could fit a battery on the bottom of the frame as long as I don’t bottom out. Does it look like a bufang BBSHD would fit here.

A 73mm bottom bracket can use a 68mm kit. I always suggest diy guys do a google search with the maker model and year. Learn from other builds and mistakes.
