Because the X1 has carbon chainstays, there aren't good options for a kickstand. I picked up a couple of the clip on Upstanding and Corki stands that have a tab that either mount on a thru axle (or I have it on a Robert Axle Project thru-axle that has a threaded stud that is skewer sized for a bike trailer mount). They work great but the included mounts are for water bottle bosses which our bikes don't have. Solution- 3D printed mounts to clip on to either the seat post or seat stay. No compression, adheres with 3M double sided VHB tape. Hope this helps.

I was just getting use to throwing my bike down in the dirt.

How did you replace the rear skewer with the nut? I just came back from my first trail ride only to find when I got back to the parking lot the rear skewer was loose. I did not have any damage but OMG.

It is expensive and a wheel anti-theft trick.

High quality, and lets you use an upstand or similar for a normal QR skewer. Just torque the thru axle first and then hold it in place and tighten the nut with a wrench to where the included peg doesn't rotate very easily.
