I can't get a u lock to go where I need it on our tandem but this guy looks pretty good.

Once the lock is indestructible, they take the post.

it looks pretty good. but with my e bikes I need a longer lock I have to use a folding lock to get around much.

The video commentary makes the assumption that a thief will not spend 20 minutes to detach a lock when there are many bikes with are worth several thousand dollars or more being locked in public places and the owners are not going to return in 20 minutes. I would only leave a cheap bike that can be easily replaced out in public.

true but I bet if they got hit by the chunks of the cutting disc that could discourage them.

Being a less attractive target is a perfectly valid strategy. :)

If I see a $1000+ Specialized bike locked up with a cable combination lock, I'll definitely park beside that. And I've seen that before. :)

Gotta say that the performance/weight ratio looks pretty good, especially when compared to comically large Altor SAF.

This might suffice along with my Every Day Carry Bordo folding lock when I'm doing grocery runs, whereas I would normally bring my Beast chain setup, and significantly lighten the load.
